AVYVE, a leading audio visual systems integration firm, announced the hire of their first intern Kenneth Johnson. AVYVE joined with the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and other metro Atlanta companies in supporting the Next Step 2006 Summer Internship Program, giving kids a break!
The Next Step 2006 program helps kids with hands-on assistance in planning for their life after high school. The decision to assist Mayor Shirley Franklin and The Metro Atlanta Chamber in this initiative was easy for AVYVE. "As a leader in the commercial and residential audio visual industries, we pride ourselves on not using subcontract labor. We hire and train only the best individuals to represent AVYVE," says Merry McCleary, President & CEO of AVYVE. "Thanks to the counseling and training requirements set forth by the Next Step 2006 staff, we were able to supplement our installation team this summer with a full time intern. Kenneth is a bright and personable young man with a positive attitude and a determined interest to learn."
When asked about his views on the Next Step program Kenneth responded, " It is a great program that helps prepare high school students for the 'next step' of life…this internship at AVYVE will give me a great introduction to the audio visual industry, as well as hands on business experience."
