AVYVE RECEIVES NSCA EXCELLENCE IN BUSINESS AWARD FOR PHILANTHROPIC CONTRIBUTIONS
Company Chosen for Routine Charitable Donations to Atlanta Area Non-Profit Organizations and Communities
February 1, 2011
AVYVE, a leading audio visual systems integration company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, was recently honored as the recipient of the National Systems Contractors Association's (NSCA) Excellence in Business Award for Philanthropic Contributions. The award ceremony will be held at the association's 2011 Business & Leadership Conference, February 17, 2011 in San Diego, California.
"We were very excited to learn we won the NSCA Excellence in Business Award," said Merry McCleary, President and CEO of AVYVE. "To be recognized for our charitable contributions by NSCA is an honor, and reinforces our belief in supporting local causes and organizations that give so much to the community."
Each year, AVYVE contributes 1 to 1.5% of annual revenues to non-profit organizations such as Open Hand, Tech Bridge, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Opera, the High Museum of Art, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Lifeline Animal Shelter, the Georgia O’Keefe Museum, Children’s Hospital of Atlanta and others. As the company has grown, so has the level of financial participation from both Avyve and McCleary personally.
McCleary added, “In recent years, Avyve has provided significant financial support, as well as donated and installed audio visual systems to the offices of non-profits. On occasion, our employees have volunteered to participate in charity programs such as home food delivery for terminally ill patients that cannot afford proper nutrition. It’s part of our company culture.”
Five integrators from around the U. S. were chosen from 5 different categories to receive awards. “This year’s winners exemplify the diverse industry we represent,” said Chuck Wilson, NSCA executive director. “These companies proved through their business strategies that it was important not only to succeed, but also to excel in their business models. They found many solutions from within their organizations; rewarding the talent that already exists builds character, commitment and engagement from employees.”
