AVYVE ATTENDS 2011 INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW

January 24, 2011

AVYVE, a leading audio visual systems integration company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, recently attended the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held in Las Vegas. Each year the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) hosts the event to introduce new and innovative technology, and examine future trends in a wide range of markets.  AVYVE’s President and CEO, Merry McCleary, was present at the event.

"We have to stay ahead of the technology curve to be successful in our industry,” said McCleary. “Our approach has always been to propose forward-thinking system designs that enhance communication and collaboration. Attending CES gives us the opportunity to experience first-hand the technology that will take our clients to the next level.”

This year’s event showcased over 20,000 products from 2700 manufacturers, and focused on Internet TV, app-enabled devices, and Internet-enabled technology. McCleary added, “I was very impressed with the attendance and energy at this show. The main attractions were new tablets, of course 3D, as well as smart appliances, wireless charging and the introduction of various sustainable products for the home. No question the trend is toward power conservation and smarter homes. The cloud will enable us to control all aspects of our homes including lighting, appliances, as well as the pre-programming of devices from anywhere in the world from our smart phones and tablets.”

In addition to the CES, AVYVE regulary attends several product shows throughout the year and is a regular attendee at Infocomm. “We must understand the direction technology is moving, to whom it is being marketed, and how it is being perceived and received by consumers in order to design and implement the quality systems our clients have come to expect,” said McCleary.

The four day event drew over 140,000 attendees from 130+ countries.
